Washington County Habitat for Humanity Board members, Willy Dilworth – President and Peter Blatchley – Volunteer Coordinator, recently presented Arlen Thielemann with a photo wall hanging in appreciation of Arlen’s guidance and support in the building of nine Habitat homes in Brenham

 

Arlen’s support has included laying out the foundation location on the plat.  Obtaining variances from the city and adjusting the plans to meet the variance.  When building starts he has instructed volunteers in framing activities and other construction work.  For several homes he paid for a construction supervisor to help guide the volunteers.  He has obtained and coordinated local companies that provided licensed services and specialized skills such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, foundations, dry wall, and cabinets.
