Corrections for May 20

  • A May 13 article about changes to the Canadian passport incorrectly stated that polls suggest nearly 90 per cent of Canadians are ready to throw caution to the wind and crack open the Constitution to sever ties with the monarchy. The story should have stated that nearly 90 per cent of Canadians who want to sever ties with the monarchy are prepared to open the Constitution to do so.
  • A May 18 column about former police chief Mark Saunders’ bid for mayor erroneously said that data shows crime is at a historic low in Toronto, when in fact Toronto police data shows an increase across all major crime indicators in the last year.
