We’re keying in on prop bets for Saturday’s Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan.
The pregame narrative: Ilkay Gundogan played hero for City in the FA Cup final and we’re expecting the German to turn up again this weekend. On the other side of the pitch, Romelu Lukaku is a solid plus-money pick to perform.

Champions League final prop bets
Best Bet : Gundogan over 0.5 SOT (-139)
Man City can become the second English club to win a European treble with a victory on Saturday.
That might not have been possible without Gundogan’s heroics last weekend. The veteran midfielder buried both goals in City’s FA Cup victory over Manchester United. It’s not like they were tap-ins, either:
Gundogan also scored a number of key goals for City in the final stretch of their Premier League campaign, including a brace in a 2-1 victory over Leeds United.
Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne receive plenty of attention for the Sky Blues’ success – and deservedly so – but there is a reason Gundogan wears the captain’s armband.
This is a line Gundogan has cleared in four of his past seven games with seven total SOT in that span. We think he can get after an Inter side that has allowed 4.42 SOT/90 in the Champions League, according to FBRef. That’s good but not great and Pep Guardiola should find a way to penetrate the Nerrazuri’s defence.
Key stat: Gundogan has registered a SOT in six of his last 10 UCL games.
Quick picks
Lukaku over 0.5 SOT (+132) : Lukaku has a shot on target in six straight games with four goals in that span. He’s been held under this total in three of Inter’s past four UCL appearances, though, but we’re not too worried about that.
The Belgian striker will be a key cog in Simone Inzaghi’s attack this Saturday and should play the majority of the game. Fitness was a question for Lukaku but he’s played 80-plus minutes in each of his past two appearances.
