Star city columnist Edward Keenan writes about all things Toronto, including its people, politics, and culture, as well as whatever else catches his interest. He was a finalist for the National Newspaper Award for columns in 2019, and for the National Magazine Award for columns in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Edward spent three years as the Star's Washington Bureau Chief from 2019-2022 before returning to cover his hometown. He is the author of the books "Some Great Idea: Good Neighbourhoods, Crazy Politics, and the Invention of Toronto" and “The Art of the Possible: An Everyday Guide to Politics.” He lives in Toronto’s west end with his wife and three children.
